Denouncing AAPI Violence and the Shootings in Atlanta

2021.03.26 Denouncing API Violence.png

Disciples Peace Fellowship joins in mourning the lives of those killed last week in the Atlanta spa shootings. We denounce the rise in violence against Asians and Asian Americans.

We join with our Asian American siblings to call for an immediate end to xenophobic and racist rhetoric, hate crimes and violence.

We call on the Church to stand in solidarity and love with all those who are targets of discrimination, misogyny, and violence.

We commit ourselves as followers of Christ to work towards the dismantling of white supremacy and the flourishing of justice, peace, and compassion.

We call for sensible gun control and demand that our leaders take responsibility for rebuilding our civil society, as a place where all are respected and valued.
