“Passing the Peace!” is now available online!

All five sessions of Disciples Peace Fellowship’s peacemaker training event are available to stream from our YouTube Channel and are embedded right here in this webpage!

“Passing the Peace!” is a capstone project for the 2020 DPF Peace Interns. After a summer of working directly with Disciples Justice Ministry partners and staffing online camps, the 2020 DPF Peace Interns led this Multi-Day, Interactive, Online, Intergenerational Peacemakers Training…and it is AMAZING!

Session 1: Meet the Interns

Hear firsthand what it is like to be a Peace Intern in the midst of a pandemic from Raphael Guillen, Wendy Davidson, and Jennifer Williams.

Session 2: Intersectionality

Jennifer teaches how to use “I Am” Poems, The Connection Game, and Praying In Color to introduce/explain the concept of intersectional justice.

Session 3: PRIDE!

Wendy and Raphael lead participants in a re-contextualized scripture reflection, a Fishbowl Game of LGBTQIA+ vocabulary, and an interactive history of Pride that draws on the history of the Stonewall Riot.

Session 4: Eco-Justice

In this Environmental Justice workshop Wendy and Jennifer take participants on a Virtual Labyrinth Walk, lead a simulation game from Just Health Action, and share practical resources on creation care.

Session 5: A Parallel Journey

The Peace Interns are joined by Minister of Reconciliation Rev. April Johnson for the world premier of "A Parallel Journey" the Choose-Your-Own-Adventure, Anti-Oppression Bible Study that they developed together this summer. Try the resource yourself at: bit.ly/APARALLELJOURNEY.

These events of “Passing the Peace!” are organized by Disciples Peace Fellowship and are open to folks of all ages and backgrounds. Thanks to a generous grant from Week of Compassion all of the sessions are 100% free!
