Being a Peace Intern is an incredible opportunity to share the things that mean the most to you and truly pour your heart out in service to others. I saw youth open up in difficult conversations, I saw them engage in soul care for themselves and others, and I saw them passionately discuss what peace and justice looks like in our world. A fire from my youth was reignited in me when I listened to the power and wisdom that is held in the young voices all across the country.

Apply Now to be a 2025 Peace Intern!

Applications are due by January 31!

Thanks for your interest in the DPF Peace Intern program! Each year DPF selects three young adults (21-years-old or older) to serve as Peace Interns. This is a 12-week, paid, summer internship ($3,000 stipend) that will allow you to serve as an advocate for peace and justice in many different ways and in several different formats. The 2025 DPF Peace Internship will be a hybrid model again this summer. That means that Peace Interns will serve at in-person Disciples of Christ Church Camps AND they will have remote work weeks where they work on specific projects with Disciples Justice Ministries groups (like AllianceQ, Reconciliation Ministries, Green Chalice, Be The Neighbor, and more) or interfaith/ecumenical peace partners (like the Fellowship of Reconciliation, the InterReligious Task Force on Central America, and Blessed Tomorrow). The 2025 Peace Intern summer experience will begin in late May, include a working trip to General Assembly in Memphis, and conclude in early August.

Before filling out the 2025 DPF Peace Intern Application Form please read “What Does It Take to be a Peace Intern” to learn more about the Peace Internship and the Selection Process.

The deadline for your application packet to be considered is January 31, 2025. This includes submittal of the Intern Application Form and Three Online Reference Forms. You can find the reference form here so that you can distribute it to your references. Please make sure that they are completed by people who know you well, one of which should be a minister, and none of whom should be related to you.

Please Note: The Application Form does not allow you to save your responses and return to finish the application. For the essay questions, we highly recommend that you write, save and edit your answers in a separate document, then copy and paste your responses into the fields provided so that you do not lose your information.

Please fill out the form below to start your application process.
